Before the renovation, the property, located in a 4-hectare landplot, looked haunted due to its neglected state.
In this renovation project, we preserved and restored the important visual features of the old Provencal house while blending in some modern architecture. After the renovation, the house now spans about 350 square meters, allowing for six rooms as well as six bathrooms on different levels, including a kids’ room, a kitchen, and a living room with a dining area. On the ground floor, where two fireplaces are placed, we transformed the one in the kitchen in order to make it suitable for cooking.
We designed the main bedroom, which is 45 square meters, with a separate one-story section of the house. The windows in this bedroom offer a view of the pool and the adjacent lounge area.
In the garden, we took care to choose trees and shrubs that fit well into the natural surroundings, avoiding any conflicts with the landscape. A fountain stream runs by the cascade from the garden down to the house, creating a calm atmosphere. Behind the fountain, the garden ends with a straightforward amphitheater.
The other part of the garden, covered with pine trees, was left mostly untouched. Among the conifers, we placed a tennis court in addition to the second swimming pool nearby.
