Une Bastide et ses jardins

This project entailed the complete renovation and transformation of one of the oldest and most iconic farmhouse of Provence.

Over the centuries, various additions had been grafted onto the pure original volumes. It was necessary to prune, refine, reveal, and recompose in order to exalt this bastide.

The four-hectare garden was once a blank canvas—just four plane trees, two cypresses, and open fields. Bosc Gardens reimagined the entire estate, shaping a landscape of harmony and grandeur that now reveals its true splendor.

The house and its outbuildings had been neglected for over 30 years, and only a few parts were truly suitable for living.

Today, harmony has been restored, as the garden and the buildings converse in perfect balance. Wandering through the estate evokes the timeless pleasure of a Roman promenade, enhanced by a French formal garden with its axes and structured compositions.
